Antares Royal Watchtower of the West

One of the 4 Royal fixed stars is Antares. It is viewed at 9 degrees 47 mins of Sagittarius at this current time from Earth's orbit. It moves a degree approximately every 74 years. Archangel Uriel is connected to Antares. It is in the heart of the Scorpio constellation. Antares vibrates to Mars and Jupiter. If Antares conjuncts a personal planet or point in a birth chart within a degree orb, it is significant for the individual.

Yours truly has Antares conjunct the Ascendant exactly. From my research I find it is said to be connected to violence, a violent death, eye problems, the lower right side of the 5th lumber, toughness, mental alertness and courage. It gives help with banishing & binding evil spirits, understanding and memory. Now it is prudent to remember it is the ancients who interpreted the energy via their era's perceptions.

To break it down to my lifetime, of which I have now lived over 50 years of, I acknowledge that violence, and violent death has been a recurrent theme for me. Thankfully I have escaped the final ending so far. As for banishing and binding evil energy, looking at my experiences through another level, I definitely agree that I have been able to do this on a number of occasions. I have felt Spiritual protection both around me and within me at certain dire times of my life. Mars is connected to guns, metal and surgery. Mars is also connected to anger, impulsiveness and males. All of these have been themes that have been a part of my death defying encounters. As for my eyes, it is just the usual aging eyesight and "surfer's eye" from harsh sunlight. So far not interfering too badly with my sight. The only other thing I've always had is night blindness. Interesting, as symbolically Antares is the watcher of the West where the Sun sets, so does my vision too it seems.

Lower right side lumber pain is something I do have from time to time now that I am ageing. A recent  xray showed a fused sacral joint in that region that is a common birth defect. It may not show any symptoms until normal aging degeneration of the skeleton occurs.

As Antares is affiliated with the West, I always seems to be in positions of having to look into the Sun as it is setting. Driving home or doing my daily walk, very regularly coincides with the sun setting in my eyes. Without planning it, my natural rhythm seems to coordinate with this time of the day. I must acknowledge I do get a deeply fulfilling and soul satisfying replenishment of Spirit while drinking in a Sunset.

I have strong Scorpio overlay energy to my birth chart, even though my Ascendant is Sagittarius. This used to bring me much consternation for some years in my astrological studies, until I learnt and applied  fixed stars to my chart interpretation. The confusion was further amplified as my 2 deg Sag Moon is conjunct my Ascendant and my birth time is only 40 mins from a Scorpio Ascendant. There have been many conversations with my parents getting them to double check my birth time because there is no hospital recording of the time. My parents' unyielding version of events and a chart rectification still gives me a Sag Ascendant. But I now accept that it is the red binary star at the heart of the Scorpion that has imprinted my physical appearance and identity. The sign of Scorpio is prominent in my family, so astrological dynamics would agree that I too would very likely carry the Scorpio energy somewhere prominent in my chart.

With Jupiter and Antares ruling my chart, I am hoping the Great Benific's (Jupiter) influence is stronger than the Lesser Maleific's (Mars). I interpret this as Spiritual protection and truth (Jupiter) gives courage (Mars) and it is through courage that I find Spiritual protection and truth.
