I have been contemplating the issue of "coin for craft". Asking for payment for services rendered. Gift donations as opposed to set fees. Free consultations. This is something I have struggled with since reading professionally. Professional by definition is being paid. So where does that leave me and my beliefs on my services.
I don't have a problem in setting a fee for my astrology consultations. I think it is quite reasonable to expect renumeration for your craft and service. The ancients equated astrology as a profession, alongside medical, political and science based professions. You study, you hone, you sit examinations, you adhere to a code of conduct within your profession, it is measurable and demonstratable. I am also comfortable in promoting my astrology services. It is a craft, a talent and a passion. So far so good. No crisis of conscience.
So moving on to my psychic consultations. This is where I use my human abilities. Abilities we all possess and are under our choice and control as to whether or not we develop or use them. Again it can be a talent, motivated from a passion into a service. Just as our other recognised senses eg hearing can be used for musical use and eysight for reading and writing, so too, for example, clairvoyance for seeing visions not directly in the time and space present. How to measure and quantify this ability? By comparison, musical renumeration occurs once a service or product is produced. A song, a concert, an instrument etc. Psychic ability can also provide a service whether it is regarded as entertainment or as therapeutic. Promoting the psychic service as entertainment infers no liability for innacuracy. Promoting the psychic service as thereapeutic infers moral and legal obligation to provide for the client's wellbeing. That opens the doorway for legislation on par with the healing professions. As such there is no body overseeing this profession. So where does this leave me in regards to fees for my psychic services and my moral obligation to clients? Being that psychic ability is human ability, I can be justified in asking for respect for my time and effort. This can equate to money, goods or services exchanged or other prior arrangements.
You can be psychic and not Spiritual. You can be musical or a doctor and not Spiritual. Yet you cannot walk and work with Spirit and not be Spiritual. Money has no concept in Spirit. Money and time are man made concepts not recognised in Spirit. So to entwine man made concerns into Spirituality is not Spiritual. Spiritual messages and inspiration can be used for man made ideas and concepts such as art work, alternative healing modalities and environmental concerns. The time, money and service can apply to these inspired concerns but not to the Source. Therefore I will not accept coin for walking and working with Spirit. The folly of my ways has been adequately emphasised over my life. My channel has malfunctioned and heavy lessons brought to my vibration as a result of my vibration lowering into the fiscal mundane, albeit naively and not willfully.
I can speak with those in Spirit. I can mannifest healing through Spirit. I cannot accept credit for this as I am but the channel and as such I am gaining exchange Spiritually. The energygy/karma exchange is balanced. I do not need recognition. Spirit guides the exchange. I do not. Spirit can compel me to be somewhere, write something etc that in the big picture draws an encounter. Spirit can put me in seclusion until I have been healed. Which is happenning at present. It has also happenned other times in my life.
So why is this question occurring for me now? Out of the blue I was contacted by someone from my past recently, who began the journey for me. This is a good example of how Spirit works for me. In passing it was mentioned a classmate is now quite reknown as a psychic medium. TV and radio appearances, club and shopping centre promotions etc. This person is a lovely and compassionate person. A real people person and I have no doubt she is truly psychically developed. But the glitz, the glamour, the fame and the money is not the Spiritual way. Yes I had to question if my ego was speaking but I see Spirit allowed me this lesson to strengthen and straighten my beliefs. For whatever is in store in my new future I am obviously being required to know this and stand firm, finally, on this topic.
Yet again the astrology of my chart is in sync with my life lessons and direction. With healer and teacher Chiron and intellectual communicator Mercury conjunct my natal Mercury and Chiron at the bottom or life base of my chart, a transromative Pluto transit drawing to a close in my 2nd house of self worth and assets and heavy lessons Saturn dallying in my hidden 12th house of Spirituality, it is no wonder I am undergoing rebooting.
